There are three reasons why Nutritional Counseling with Amy Hardesty works; sympathy, support and accountability.
Amy understands the frustrations that come with the challenges of weight loss. She literally tried every diet under the sun. Take Shape for Life (check!); Weight Watchers (check!); LA Weight loss (check!); Nutritionists (check!); Jenny Craig (check!); Liposuction (yep, check!). While some of these programs offered temporary weight loss, the pounds came back. She never had the support or accountability needed for long term success.
No single program fits everybody. Each person is unique and the program that works best for them needs to be unique as well. During your first visit you will receive a custom program designed especially for you. We will work with you to learn who you are, what your food likes and dislikes are, what programs you have tried in the past, what your schedule is like, if you have any food intolerances or allergies, and much more. After that, everything is customized just for you. This includes a custom meal plan that is macro-balanced to allow your body to release the optimal amount of fat! You will also receive a custom exercise program that will help you achieve your desired results.
Even the word accountability sounds burdensome. Nobody wakes up and says, “let’s see how many different ways I can be accountable today.” With Amy’s support and a few helpful tools, you will actually look forward to being accountable—especially after you learn how easy it is. First, Amy is there to help you measure results.
During each visit we will take a body composition reading to measure the amount of fat and muscle in your body (from your neck to your calves) to calculate your “body age”. This is a better guage than just standing on a scale. We can measure changes your body is making month to month, and celebrate your results!
You also get an app to log your meals—don’t worry, it only takes about 30 seconds per meal and is much more convenient than keeping a food journal.
