Juices and Smoothies For Healthy Hair Skin and Nails

Glowing skin, strong hair, and glossy nails all start with good nutrition. A great way to boost the health of your hair, fingernails, and summer skin is with one of these three smoothies and juices — each with thoughtful ingredients that are as delicious as they are beneficial.

The Beautiful Hair, Skin, and Nails Smoothie

Borage oil boosts skin health with essential fat, GLA, and Vitamin C supports adrenal health, both are essential for great skin.

Blend all ingredients until smooth:

• 1/2 cup blueberries
• 1 tbsp coconut oil
• 1 tbsp borage oil
• 1 tbsp hemp seeds
• 1 tsp vitamin c powder (cherry acerola or camu camu)
• 1 cup coconut milk, almond milk or coconut water

Banana Berry Boost Smoothie

Antioxidants in berries fight free radicals that can prematurely age you while fatty almonds and avocado nourish your skin.

Blend all ingredients until smooth:

• 1/2 small banana, frozen
• 3/4 cup mixed berries, frozen
• 1 handful of spinach
• 1 Tbsp almond butter
• 1 avocado
• 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
• 1 cup ice

Carrot Ginger Boost

Turmeric eases inflammation and, when complemented by ginger and carrot. is a great panacea for acne sufferers.

Place each ingredient in a juicer:

• 2 cups carrots, roughly chopped
• 1 granny smith apple
• 1 cup orange juice
• juice of one lime
• 1-inch cube fresh turmeric
• 1-inch cube fresh ginger
• 1 cup water
