Integrative Nutrition can encompass several different modalities; the food and nutrition component focuses on the whole person but it’s much more than simply eating the recommended number of fruits and vegetables each day or counting calories. Integrative Nutrition aims to heal the whole person through food, vitamins, minerals, and supplements—working in tandem with the recommendations made by a primary care physician.
Dietitians dedicated to integrative medicine look for alternative ways to promote and support whole body health. At Stellar Health and Wellness, we are thrilled to work alongside the brilliant and capable Amy Hardesty, an Integrative Nutritionist with an AAS in Complimentary Alternative Medicine.
“Whether you need help changing your eating habits for weight loss, because of a specific diagnosis or food allergy/intolerance. I can and will help you every step of the way. This is not a journey for the faint of heart. But you already knew that. I will support, encourage, and advocate for you.”
-Amy Hardesty, Integrative Nutritionist
During a visit with our nutritionist, Amy, you will receive a customized program designed especially for you. Amy works with each patient to learn who they are, what they like and dislike, what each schedule is like, and if there are existing food intolerances or allergies. From there she will create a custom meal plan that is macro-balanced to allow each patient’s body to release the optimal amount of energy.
Amy Hardesty graduated from the American College of Healthcare Science with an AAS in Complimentary Alternative Medicine in 2017. She struggled with self-image, self-esteem and her own weight for most of her life. Upon completion of her degree she began desperately searching for real change. Using all of the tools she had just spent years learning, she set out to change her own life first. Along the way, she has discovered a passion for real food and nutrition, and has unlocked a deep desire to help others find their way through this same journey!
