Posted by     on January 17, 2019

Have you ever wondered what is the keto diet? Or what is a fat bomb? Stellar Mommies including Nutritionist, Amy Hardesty are going to explain the keto basics, how the keto diet works and how to make fat bombs.

What is the Keto Diet?

The Ketogenic Diet is a way of limiting your macronutrient intake to put your body into a state of ketosis which allows your body to burn fat instead of carbohydrates for energy.

What are Macronutrients?

Macronutrients are types of food e.g. fat, protein, and carbohydrates. For keto, you want to consume healthy sources of fat, moderate amounts of protein and a limited amount of carbohydrates all of which should come from your vegetables.

Is the Keto Flu Real?

Yes, unfortunately, the keto flu is real. The flu-like symptoms are a result of your body’s withdraw from carbohydrates body adapting to ketosis and your liver is releasing and flushing out toxins. The keto flu is uncomfortable but temporary.

What is a Fat Bomb?

A fat bomb is a quick keto fat fix which is high in fat and low in protein. Fat bombs can help you stay in ketosis while providing long-lasting energy.
