The liver has a fundamental role in your body’s overall regulation. Your liver is your body’s filter. It converts toxins into waste products. It cleans your blood. It metabolizes nutrients and medications to provide the body with some of its most important proteins. Those are the three ways your liver detoxifies the body. Let’s break down each process.
At any given moment, your liver is in the process of detoxifying about a pint of blood. Your total blood supply passes through the liver several times a day. Blood detoxification is critical because blood is loaded with bacteria, endotoxins, antigen-antibody complexes, and other toxic substances from the intestines. A healthy liver clears almost 100% of bacteria and toxins from blood before the blood enters general circulation.
Phase one is prepping toxins for phase two. During phase one, chemicals from outside and inside your body are detoxed by 50-100 enzymes. Once these toxins are treated they are easier for phase two to target. Phase two binds protective compounds to toxins for detoxifying treatment.
